Bank Minne Onnespad - Observation point

The bench on the Minne Onnespad stands on the dike near the Reeweg on Schiermonnikoog. It is not worth a special trip, but if you walk or cycle past, it is a lovely place to stop and enjoy the view.

What can you expect at the bench on the Minne Onnespad?

• The bench: The bench is made of masonry granite blocks. You can sit on four sides.
• Views: On one side you look out over the Wadden Sea, where you can follow the tides. On the other side you see the Banckspolder with the village in the background.
• Birds: Both the mudflats and the polder are busy with birds. From mid-September to the end of May thousands of barnacle geese stay in the polder.

• Getting there: The bench is within walking and cycling distance of the village, not far from the Bank van Banck.
