Speelbos Hazenweitje & Speelnatuur van Oerrr - Playground

In the woods along the Cornelis Visserpad on Schiermonnikoog you will find the Hazenweitje play forest and Natuurmonumenten's nature play area. Children discover nature through play here, free and open at all times.

What can you expect at the play forest?

• Little ones: The youngest look for the tree house, brave the spooky ditch, pump water and play with sand. It is a lovely picnic spot too.
• Kreukelkaart: Older children set off with the Kreukelkaart, a card full of tasks: climbing trees, a blindfold trail, balancing on logs and a little pull ferry to the island in the Berkenplas. Pick up the card at the VVV, the Berkenplas or the visitor centre.
• Family route: The family route around the Berkenplas passes the play forest and nature play area and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

• Visit: Free and open at all times.
• Getting there: The island is car free; from the village it is a short walk or bike ride.
• Surroundings: At the Berkenplas you can swim and there is a pavilion. The woods are part of Schiermonnikoog National Park.
