Lighthouse Noordertoren Schiermonnikoog
The red lighthouse at the Dutch island Schiermonnikoog has no official name, but is referred to as Noordertoren. Weather reports from the coastal waters were provided from the tower. In 1998 the tower was painted red.
The red lighthouse is not open to the public and it can’t be climbed.
The other white tower is the second former lighthouse of Schiermonnikoog, de Zuidertoren.
